The rain last night has ruined all the snow in the garden square so no snowman building today but my Tatty is coming up to London to see a gig and is staying at mine tonight. This is the first time I get to meet The Boy (her fella) too, I’m really looking forward to seeing her.
Ooooooooo Mmmmmmm Geeeeeeeee! The gig was absolutely amazing, danced around like a crazy thing and managed to walk everwhere in my six inch heels without stacking it. The after party was great Tinie Tempah was DJing, the Smirnoff Ice was flowing (my drink of choice when there was so little choice, either that or beer or cider!) and had great company. Then everything started to go wrong….
I had pre booked and prepaid for a taxi to pick us up from Wembley Arena at 12.30 I did this seven hours in advance and thought nothing more of it, we have a car coming to get us we can enjoy ourselves. I get a phone call at 12.10 from the cab company saying that they’ll probably not be able to pick us up until 1.30am because they had become busy and had priority bookings they needed to deal with first! Surely the point of pre booking a cab is so that the taxi turns up when you’ve ordered it and they know they need to get a car to a certain place at a specific time? I explained to the guy that called to me that we are five girls by ourselves and it’s freezing weather outside and they can’t leave us stranded there, he doesn’t care he’s got priority bookings and will get a car there when he can!
I call another taxi company who say they can get cab there in twenty minutes and will call me when it arrives, great! I get the automated call to say our cab is outside so out we all go and it’s not at the pick up point? I call the company to find out where they are and it turns out the taxi has left without us!!
We ended up spending over an hour and a half outside Wembley Arena at 1am in this freezing cold weather waiting for taxi companies that promised us cars and none of them delivered. We ended up having to split up and get in spare seats of other peoples taxis just to get back to central London.
If you need a taxi in London don’t ever use Express National Carriers or Radio Taxis they are unreliable and will both happily leave girls alone late at night in remote locations. Thankfully there were five of us together but if any of us had been alone that would have been a really scary experience, rant over with!
Happy Saturday!
Lots of Love

holy crap! i read your story and could feel your pain. i really don't understand why things like that happen. you booked 7 hours in advance!! like, seriously?! that's a really big f*ck up on someone's part if they can't get a car out on time for a pre-booking that was made 7 hours prior. and why would 12:10 be the soonest they'd call you to let you know. the whole thing is so ridiculous, i can totally see why you needed to rant about!
on a more positive note, i love this outfit. very simple but chic and stylish. and as always, you look gorgeous. =)

taxis are such a mare, the number of times they fail! once me and two female mates, all 17, were stranded in eltham in like tiny dresses and heels, in the dark lost because our cab never came.low point in my life! x
Thank you peeps, we did get home safely in the end but was a little scary for a while and very bloody cold! x
