So not going on my date and staying in for the DIY cooking session last night turned out to be a success, the peppermint bark is amazing, the red onion chutney smells so good and the chocolate fudge is soooooo yummy! The only trouble is the quantities…..I need to make loads more bark and chutney so I’m off out again to buy more supplies.
Whilst I was out supply shopping yesterday I discovered that my favourite author, Peter F. Hamilton, has released the next in his “Dreaming Void” series “The Evolutionary Void”.
I am so excited, this is my favourite of all the realities he has created and I can’t wait to see what the next twist is going to be. If you are a sci-fi and haven’t yet come across these books I highly recommended them.
V was very upset that Only Boy Flatmate and I went to play in the snow without her yesterday so we are going to the garden again this afternoon for “proper” snowman building, she thought our effort yesterday was pitiful! I thought we did quite well for a two minute effort.
The builders came yesterday to fix our windows and it’s made such a difference! Before it used to rain IN my room during a heavy downpour and there was always a fairly stiff breeze if you were anywhere near the windows. Now, with the liberal application of silicon gel and tape, the temperature doesn’t drop many many degrees when you walk into my room and there isn’t a breeze to speak of! Thank goodness as I was starting to worry about how high the heating bill was going to be this year! I no longer turn blue if I stay in my room too long which is good as the blue tinge didn’t really suit me.
I’m very much looking forward to the roastie lamb later this evening, the only trouble is I usually want to fall asleep after a huge roast dinner and tonight L and I are off out partying. Maybe a quick power nap….
So for today I am wearing this…
Dress: Trashy Diva
Jumper: Topshop
Tights: Boots
I’ll put the pictures of the outfit I wear tonight in tomorrows post along with lots of pictures of the fun L and I have plus the yummy goodies we are eating later. Fingers crossed for no/less Northern Measures and the resulting hangovers they induce!!
Lots of Love

What an adorable dress! I don't know if I can use that word for a dress, but it was the first thing that came to my mind. I hope you are having a blast tonight and I expect to see some yummy pics tomorrow. (I'm reffering to the food of course, lol)! xxx

Oh, this is all so pre-Christmassy! I love this time of the year! Great dress – somehow I like florals in winter more than in summer.
