The first roast dinner of the year and I thought I’d start as I mean to go on so I’m cooking roastie lamb as it’s my very favourite, all the trimmings too as I’m getting the hang of Yorkshire Puddings and roast butternut squash now.
During Dressember I joined the Facebook group and “met” the fabulous Juliet who had done this amazing picture of all her shoes layed out in her backgarden. Now I live in an apartment and althought I do have a garden it’s in the square next door and I might look a little like a crazy person dragging down every pair of shoes I own to lay them out for a photo!
So I’ve decided to do it in my room, I like the idea of the picture but I also think this is a good way to sort through what I’ve got. I have some shoes that I haven’t worn for months and maybe even years, they don’t exactly take up a lot of room but if I’m not wearing them then maybe I should let them go to someone else? I’m planning another Swish next month so I need to sort through all my clothes (fifty seven dresses and seventy three pairs of shoes!! Really??) and decide what to let go. I find this really difficult though, I think I “love” everything in my wardrobe so bringing myself to let anything go is hard. How about you, do you have things in your wardrobe that you love but don’t wear? Could you Swish them to a better home where they will be worn?
Lots of Love
P.S. x
wow, this whole dressember thing sounds awesome, and your shoe collection is soo stunning- too many faves to choose. have a great new year doll 😉
Your shoe collection is so big and colorful too. I have a similar amount of shoes and generally I find it hard to throw out things that I like, even if I don't wear them that often. Although I find that having the blog has made me rediscover lots of "treasures". I've never done the Swishing thing and maybe I should consider it. xxx
Boy do you have a lot of shoes! The Swishing idea seems to be really good! I'll definitely be looking at having a go if there's one in my area! Thanks for the idea chicka 🙂
xx
Whoa girl that is alot of shoes! And 57 dresses? I need to come raid your closet 😉 (and have some of that lamb!).
I love the idea of Swishing, I used to give my old clothes to my sisters but we're all different sizes now 🙁
xXx

@ Dannie Thank you Hunnie, Happy New Year to you too x
@ Arietta I do like colour and I don't own an awful lot of black anything. Swishing is great, you should definitely try it x
@ Rhiiwn I've been to an organised Swish and I've held one myself and I would recommend doing your own rather than going to a big organised event, it's more fun and you'll have a great night with friends as well as swapping some great new clothes. x
@ The Dandizette You're welcome anytime! Maybe I should try and organise a blog Swish!! x
@ Cylia LOL! It's lamb and was very tasty x
@ Dannikate & Maddalena Thank you Lovelies x

OMG girl you have so many shoes! I usually do a cull of my shoes every now and then, getting rid of shoes I no longer wear in place of new ones (since space is always an issue right? lol). I have a few things I love and don't wear often, but if I don't wear it at all I can't justify keeping it, I would rather make the most of what I have!
I have such an emotional attachment to everything I own so I know it's always hard to let go. I do need to let go though. I think I'm at your numbers in terms of the number of dresses and shoes I own. Haha. =]
@ Jamie-Lee I do have so many shoes and I bought more today! After doing this picture I can't decide on any that I want to clear out. I agree with you though I should clear out things I don't wear at all. x
@ Stefany Nothing wrong with large numbers of things if you love them all but I do need to do a little bit of a clearout! x
i'm not really a shoe person, i just buy staple pairs of shoes, but i love perving at other people's collections 🙂
you have many.
still think you should've lugged them all into the garden 😉
